Programme Overview

This training builds on foundational language skills to enable participants to communicate more effectively and professionally in Malay within workplace settings. As many industries operate in multilingual environments, the ability to engage confidently in both informal and formal conversations is a valuable skill that enhances workplace performance.

Participants will be better equipped to handle customer interactions, workplace discussions, and service-related scenarios, including managing feedback, explaining information, and responding to more complex enquiries. These competencies are particularly valuable in sectors such as customer service, retail, hospitality, healthcare support, and public-facing roles.

Level 1: Workplace Malay Foundations UTAP

This beginner-level course introduces learners to essential Malay vocabulary, pronunciation, and practical communication skills for the workplace. Learners will develop confidence in using basic Malay to communicate with colleagues, customers, and members of the public in common workplace situations such as customer service, hospitality, retail, and daily work interactions.
